Argumentative Speaking aims to develop the
students' ability to speak English at the upper-intermediate and advanced level
which covers seminar, debate, panel discussion, and job interview. Students
will be reviewed orally on their vocabulary, fluency, content, and detail in
running a seminar, practicing debate and adjudication using a higher order
thinking skills, delivering ideas and participating as panelists and audiences,
and doing job interview as interviewer and interviewee. In the end of the
semester, students are expected to have ability expressing their argument in
speaking for general English and specific purposes.
